1. Using the service

VALID TASTE helps you discover music, save ratings and share your taste. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 and have any permission required by law. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Your account

Use an available username, an email you are entitled to use and a strong password. Do not impersonate others. Keep your password and recovery key private. Email addresses are not verified and are not proof of account ownership. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is compromised. You can sign out all devices or delete your account in Account settings.

3. Your content and privacy

You keep ownership of your notes, profile text and images. You give VALID TASTE permission to store, process and display them only as needed to operate the service and follow your sharing choices. Submit only content you have the right to use. Do not include another person’s private information without permission.

Profiles start private. Choosing a public setting makes the selected content accessible to others, who may copy or share it. Removing content cannot recall copies already made. Exported files are under your control.

4. Music and external services

Recordings, lyrics, artwork and artist identities belong to their respective owners. Playback uses links, previews or official third-party players. Provider terms, subscriptions, regional limits and availability apply. VALID TASTE does not grant recording rights, offer music downloads or authorize bypassing playback restrictions. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Spotify or SoundCloud.

5. Acceptable use

Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit children, infringe intellectual-property rights, upload malicious material, send spam or expose private information. Do not attempt unauthorized access, credential attacks, security bypasses or automated traffic that disrupts the service. Accessing a public profile does not authorize collecting private data or evading controls.

We may restrict abusive accounts or remove unlawful or harmful content. Report rights, safety or security concerns to support@validtaste.com with enough detail to locate the issue. Do not include credentials or sensitive personal information.

6. Ratings and availability

Ratings are personal opinions. Recommendations, genre labels and comparisons are estimates based on available data, not guarantees or objective judgments. Catalog coverage and playback can change. We aim to keep the service reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted access or zero data loss. Export important ratings regularly.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time. Account deletion removes your account and associated personal library from the active database. Backup copies may remain until their scheduled expiry, generally within 30 days, unless law requires longer retention. Shared music metadata and copies saved by others may remain. If access is restricted in error, contact support to request review.

8. Responsibility and changes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without additional warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect losses or third-party services. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to fraud, intentional misconduct or other mandatory protections.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be brought to users’ attention before they take effect where required. Applicable mandatory law governs your rights; these terms do not impose arbitration or waive statutory remedies.
